Horizon Housing gives festive present appeal a helping hand

A few extra festive stockings will be filled this year thanks to the efforts of generous Horizon Housing Association staff and their donations to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal.

The Salvation Army collected 30 gifts for children and young people from Horizon’s headquarters last week.

Horizon’s Interim Chief Executive Officer Gordon Binnie said: “We are delighted to once again support the Salvation Army’s Christmas Present Appeal and play our part to ensure wee ones have presents to open on Christmas day.

“Many families are struggling financially due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, which is why we're helping this worthwhile festive appeal.”

Captain Kay Blues, Corps Officer at Livingston Salvation Army Corps, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of staff at Horizon Housing Association in donating to our Christmas Present Appeal, helping to bring the joy of Christmas into people’s homes.”
